Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was conceived in McComb, Mississippi, and was raised in Kentwood. As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and was a pro in gymnastics, winning numerous competitions and the like. Britney was a superb performer and dancer. Britney applied for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at age eight. She was denied due to her young age. She was then referred to "Ruthless", an off-Broadway production, in which she appeared in the role of the title character for two years. She tried again in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but this time , as a mouseketeer. Her big break, however, came when she was signed as a Jive Recording Artist in the latter part of the 90s. Britney was a huge hit after her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby another time" in 1999. She sold 13 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I did it Again" which came out in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears, she has a big brother, Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to be a superstar with her idols like Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney could be heard singing, no matter what was happening around her. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on television at the age of 8. But she was too young to play the role. Britney relocated to New York with her mother and her baby sister. She starred in numerous TV commercials and was also an understudy for Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. Britney discovered her passion for music and dance two years later, when she auditioned again for "Mickey Mouse", winning the part with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
