Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis (Greek pronunciation 01 October 1969) was an American comedian, actor, musician, writer, and comedian. He also appeared on Comedy Central Presents and hosted Late World With Zach on VH1. Galifianakis has been featured in movies such as The Hangover trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010) and The Campaign (2012). He was also in Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). He has voiced characters in animated films like Puss in Boots (2011), The Lego Batman Movie (2017), Missing Link (2019), and Ron's Gone Gone Wrong (2021). Galifianakis currently hosts the Funny or Die website talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis has appeared in the FX series Baskets. He was nominated in 2017 for the Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis was born in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, on the 1st October 1969. The child of the community arts center owner Mary Frances (nee Cashion) and heating oil merchant Harry Galifianakis. His mother is an English-Irish and Scottish His paternal grandparents are Greek immigrants from Crete. He was baptized according the Greek Orthodox faith of his father. He is the father of Merritt, his younger sister as well as Greg who is his older brother. His cousin Nick Galifianakis is a Washington Post cartoonist and his uncle Nick Galifianakis is also a politician. Galifianakis was educated at Wilkes Central High School and after that, he attended North Carolina State University where she studied communications. While at university, he worked at a station that was accessible to the public. He taught an waltz class in the year 1991, where he met with Mary J. Blige. Following his debut on television Boston Common, Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live for two weeks. He's stated "I participated on Saturday Night Live for two weeks. Britney Spears hosted the show for a week while I was doing it. I sketched a picture. Will Ferrell was to serve as her bodyguard on the belly button.
