Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in pop music. The band was founded in 2009. The group is
made up of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and
Carlos PenaVega. In 2009, they signed with Nick Records before moving to
Columbia Records. They appeared on Nickelodeon's television show, Big Time
Rush. The show aired from the beginning of November 28, 2009 to July 25, 2013.
The pilot episode featured the group's debut single as a promo, "Big Time
Rush". The group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate
(2011) as well as 24/Seven (2013). The band in 2014 took a break which lasted
until 2021. They returned to live performances in the studio, and then came out
with "Call It Like It Sees It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush
a record agreement in 2009, while also airing the tv show Big Time Rush.
Nickelodeon later partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to produce
the series and also provide original music. For the show, their first single, "Big
Time Rush", was released on November 29th in 2009. The announcement was
made by Nickelodeon the show was first shown in the U.S. in November 2009 and
then released worldwide. It debuted during a one-hour special preview of the
series and is currently the show's theme for opening. Promotional singles were
also released by the show including "City is Ours" (with Big Time
Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered the Play song
titled "Famous". The track was released to iTunes on June 29 2010. Following
its series premiere another track, "Halfway There", became available
on iTunes on April 27 in 2010. The band soon became their first charting single
on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked 93 due to the digital sales. In order
to promote the release of their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till
I Forget About You" on September 21, 2010. On October 11, 2010 the album,
dubbed BTR, was made available to the general public. The album climbed to
number 3 on the Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies within its first week.
