Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda Arnel Pineda, an Filipino musician and singer, gained fame in the Philippines in the 1890s. He also became the new lead vocalist for the American rock group Journey in 2007. Arnel is 54 as of 2021, he was born Arnel Campaner Pineda on the 5th of September, 1967, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. He celebrates his birthday on the 5th of September every year. His father, six months behind in rent payment and in a position of no means to support his family, asked his family members to adopt Arnel. Seeing the condition, Arnel quit school and began working to help ease his father's burden. Arnel was born at the St. Jude Thaddeus's diagnostic clinic in Tondo Manila, Philippines to Restituto L. Pineda and Josefina Mannansala Campaner. His mother encouraged him to sing when he was a child. His parents took him to many singing contests. Arnel's mom passed away from heart disease when Arel was thirteen. His family was left with debt after the death of his mother. His father who was in debt for six months and was incapable of meeting his family's needs and wants to convince his relatives to adopt Arnel. Arnel has three sisters and brothers: Roderick Pineda; Joselito Pinda; and Russmon Peda. Arnel was aware of the gravity of his circumstance and quit school in order to ease his father's burden. Arnel was forced to spend nearly two years in the streets. He slept anywhere was possible in parks, on the narrow benches of houses. He collected glass bottles and newspapers, and then sold the bottles to recyclers. Arnel was also a part-time worker, doing odd jobs like cleaning scrap metals or docking ships. Cherry Pineda is Arnel's wife. They got married in 2001. The couple have two children together: a daughter (Theachenelle Pineda) and a son (Cherub). Arnel has two other children: Matthew and Angelo.
